During the early days of writing Shattered Grace, I was always listening to music and drawing inspiration from the way certain songs would make me feel. For instance, I have around four different covers of 'Running up that hill' that more or less summarize the feel of each book.
A perfect example of this would be the Club Cameo scene. I had The Chainsmokers' 'It won't kill ya.' For ages I had this scene of two would be lovers losing track of one another in a crowded club until finally finding one another when the song hits that wonderful peak.
